CASS Alumni shine in Australia Day Honours

Eight CASS Alumni have were recently recognised with Australia Day Honours at the 2013 Australia Day Awards.

Dr Michael Smith, Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to archaeological scholarship, particularly of the Australian desert regions.

Mrs Judith Ohana, Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to aged care.

Professor Malcolm Gilles, Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to tertiary education through leadership roles, and to the humanities, particularly as a scholar of musicology.

Ms Christine Gee, Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to international relations and the people of Nepal, particularly through the provision of education, health and environmental programs.

Mr John Atchison,  Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to the community of New England as a historian and educator. 

Ms Louise Mary Page, Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to performing arts.
